Japan beefing up the science spending on "game changing" research

Amidst the budget cuts in almost all countries, Japan is pushing forward with a boost to its funding of small and innovative research, as they call it "Grants in Aid".

The second biggest push comes for the stem cell research and the cost efficient solar panels, both titled under "Life and Green Sciences".

All is done for "a budget for the reinvigoration of Japan". Good job PM Kan!
